6/25/18 UPDATE: Gone.
This 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera (VIN WP0AA2993XS627269) has a claimed 61,399 miles on the clock and is finished in a factory “Paint to Sample”. No mention or any IMS/RMS work. Find this one offered here at Maserati of St. Petersburg in you guessed it… St Petersburg, Florida for $20,993.
Well, this is an interesting car. The description says “Paint to Sample” but this looks a-lot like “Mirage Metallic” which was a stock factory color. The online VIN decoders don’t work on the 996.1’s so I can’t verify without the option code sticker (which the dealer has not provided here).
There’s a lot going on for this car. The Aero Kit (can’t confirm it’s factory without the option sticker), the BEAUTIFUL “Sport Seats” and the full leather options are the highlights. Remember, 99 Carrera’s have the cable connected throttle (big plus). Unfortunately, this car is not equipped with the factory LSD, which is a bummer.
One other note, there is a possibility this car has been repainted. I say that because the front “GT3 Style” lower lip is body color painted as well as the rear bumperettes. Now I know the rear bumperettes came body-colored on the 996.2 but don’t think this was a color offered on the 996.2. That being said, I know several aftermarket companies offer replacements painted in factory colors, so that could be it. Be sure to do your due diligence.
Whatever the case, this is a lot of car for the ask. Get that IMS/RMS taken care of and you’re all set. Be sure to ask for a picture of the option codes, and don’t forget that PPI. This Carrera is bound to be someones firstflatsix.
