Pretty well optioned Carrera we have here in the love it or hate it Red Orient Metallic.
The 2001 Carrera came with a 300HP 3.4L flat-six and is fitted with “E-gas” throttle which was standard in all Carreras save for the ’99 Coupes.
The interior is finished in Black full (dash and doorcards) supple leather (front and rear seats) and the 3-Spoke leather steering wheel and a host of aluminum trim pieces.
Base Carrera, 300 HP, 6speed, RWD, full leather interior and 60K miles. If you’re looking for an entry into 911, this is your car. Get that IMS work done and enjoy those miles of smiles, haters be damned. The perfect firstflatsix.
I guess I couldn’t stay away. This is the last car I looked at (at auction) before I bought mine. As you mention, great options and color. It’s been neglected though, battery was shot, needs hood/rear hatch struts, center console is all messed up, scuff and paint damage on pass side rear fender, a pretty good sized oil leak, and some bad paint work on the driver side door. It’s a used car, and the dealer ask is not prohibitive, but at what it went for I was comfortable taking a pass.
Aaron coming through again with the great intel!
