This 1999 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 (VIN NOT AVAILABLE) has a claimed 52,300 miles on the clock and is finished in “Guards Red”over Savannah Beige leather. The seller states, “As to the IMS crap, and it is crap, kind of like Timing belts on my Ferrari”. Find this one offered here on here on Craigslist in Frisco, Texas for $19,900.

If it wasn’t for the price of this car, this seller would be the classic “I KNOW WHAT I HAVE” type seller. Also, how often do you think this seller squeezes in that he has a Ferrari F355 into casual conversation? I bet A LOT 🙂
All joking aside, the price is right. As per the seller, the car has been lightly modded. Seller states the car has Fikse wheels (don’t see these on the site though) and newer tires (ask for the date codes). Seller states the car has Litronic headlamps even though the option sticker says otherwise. I’m sure the two “minor” front bumps are the real reason. No mention of suspension mods, but this is clearly lowered, so be sure to check that out.
On the interior we spy a Savannah Beige standard leather comfort seats, 4 spoke 993 style wheel and an aftermarket radio. The interior appears to be pretty base with zero options.
The ’99 Carreras came with 296Hp stock and the much loved cable connected throttle (only year for this). The seller states that the car is also fitted with intake and exhaust (no other details on brand). While this car isn’t equipped with the rare factory LSD (or even PSM) and has had body work (no matter how minor) it is presenting as a really good value. The seller loses me with the IMS rant he goes on, its very real and to us $3000 in preventative maintenance prevents you from turning your $20K 911 into a paperweight that needs a $15K+ used engine. So budget that in accordingly with any negotiation (or don’t because the price is right as is). Don’t forget that PPI. Make this classic Guards Red Carrera your firstflatsix.
