Craigslist ad here in case another buyer snatches it up.
“Awwwww sh*t, look at the motherf***** wheelz” – Menace II Society. Real talk, if those are legit RUF wheels, those are $$$$$$$ wheels.
Narrowbody, 300hp, 6 sp, Porsche 911. Just like Pinky Lai envisioned. No VIN or build-sheet to go by, so we’re going to wing this one from the limited awful Craigslist quality photos.
The 2001 Carrera came a 300HP 3.4L flat-six and RWD. This 3.4L is fitted with “e-gas” throttle which was standard in all Carrera’s save for the ’99 Coupes. E-Gas is Porsches electronic throttle as opposed to the cable connected throttle found in the ’99 Carreras.
The interior is finished in Metropol Blue leather. We’re not seeing supple or full leather options on this one. We spy base comfort seats and the 993 style 4 spoke steering wheel. There seller didn’t include pics of the seat bolsters but from what we do see, this does look like a 33K mile interior. We can’t really tell much from the sellers detailed pics.
There you have it folks, this was short and sweet. I won’t say I mailed it in, but the seller didn’t give me much to work with. You would think, that selling a car that had an MSRP in the 80K’s and selling for $25K today would warrant some better pictures and more detail. That being said, this is the 911 experience. Base Carrera, 300 HP, 6speed, RWD all under 3000 lbs. Text for the vin, run a carfax, get a ppi, and as soon as you buy it get that IMS work done. Low mileage garage queens are statistically more susceptible to the catastrophic failure. Otherwise, you’re looking at the perfect firstflatsix. Well, get some coils/springs and drop it on those RUF’s, then you’ll have the perfect firstflatsix.
